Hi,
I just downloaded the editor and so far I love it. At this rate I think I'll definitely buy it soon.
One thing that I really loved coming from jEdit was the ability to double-click a tab to close that file. I've never really seen this in any other editor, but it is very user friendly from a human factors standpoint (the click target is the whole tab, not just the small red X). I can't post URLs here yet, but you can read more about it by googling "A quiz designed to give you Fitts", an article by Bruce Tognazzini (The original Mac user interface designer) discussing Fitt's Law relating to click targets.
I don't know if this is something you can do, or if it would cause more problems than its worth, but it was very handy in jEdit. I've never seen it in any other editor.
Thanks for considering and for creating such a great tool. |

| How about just middle-clicking the tab (i.e. with the mousewheel)? That's something you can do in E, Firefox (and IE and Chrome), and probably lots of other programs too. |

Laptops don't have mousewheels.
Like I said, its no big deal, I can adjust, maybe this is just me moving from another editor. I usually hit CTRL-W to be honest anyway. This will definitely NOT keep me from buying this editor. |
