I noticed that syntax highlighting with italics sometimes works and sometimes doesnt... I tend to have a number of files open where one shows italics the other 'forgets' them.

I couldnt really find a pattern in this so i can't be more precise at the moment. Has anyone else noticed this?

(I love the look of italicized Consolas... sometimes it's those small things that make a coder happy... Smile )

I've seen this problem too, happens intermittently with many files or just one file open. Doesn't matter which theme (that italicizes comments) I use.

Configuration (in case it helps): WinXP SP2, Intel E4500, 3GB RAM. Nvidia GeForce 7600GT, driver ver. 162.18 with a dual-monitor setup.

This shows up in e version 1.0.2

Have you checked to make sure that your syntax is set correctly?

It seems that, for me, when I open a PHP file it sets the syntax to HTML and I have to manually change it to PHP. (But for some reason .js and .css files choose the appropriate syntax.)

Maybe it's an inconsistency in the automatic syntax selector.

I am seeing this, too, although I am yet to actually see anything italicized. I am just getting started with e -- having only used it for a couple of days, almost exclusively with HTML, CSS, JS, and ColdFusion files (and the corresponding bundles). I am using the "Mac Classic" theme and have not modified it aside from selecting Consolas 8pt as my editor font.

Is this still a known issue, or is there something I need to tweak to get comments, as an example, to be shown in italics?

Thanks much!

I'm still noticing this problem periodically with my theme on the latest version of E (1.0.14 as I write this). Does anybody know anything about it? Has it been acknowledged as a bug?

(UPDATE: Of course, right after posting this I see there's an update -- 1.0.15b. I just downloaded it and installed it, but I'm still seeing the problem.)

I also notice this problem.

In the Theme-Dialog the italic font appears correctly but in die editor it is not italic. Bolt and Underline work fine tho

Is this problem still around or is there any solution for this?
