Hi. Thanks a lot for the frequent updates of E.
Love this editor, and immediately found many of the things in your screencast so intuitive.
Block selection is useful for me and much more handy implemented than in for instance UltraEdit.
BUT it's not operational keyboard only.
Using the mouse you press ALT, then click and keep your mouse down.
Using the keyboard, you should position the cursor, then press ALT, and keep it down while you move the cursor.
That's the most intuitive way for me. In fact, the way I discovered this, is because I have only learned from the screencast, using the mouse, but for some reasons my subconsciousness keeps trying select with the keyboard.
If this is a simple thing to add, I really hope you would implement it.
That's just my 2 cents (or $34.95 to be exact)

I also find it very inconvenient to have to use the mouse to do the column select mode. Please provide a way to do this without using the mouse.
Thank you.

| if you hold ALT while selecting text with the keyboard (by using the arrows) it will select multiple columns -- no mouse required. |

| You're right: Alexander added the feature after my posting here nearly a year ago. Column selection is now fully supported and has been that for many releases. |
