This update is mostly bugfixes, and an addition of syntax highlighting for snippets, which should hopefully make it a bit easier to create and understand snippets.
  • Added syntax highlighting for Snippets.

  • Large speedup when opening projects, and some stability improvements in handling when external processes make changes in the project.

  • Fixed: Focus on text after doubleclicking item in project/bundle pane.

  • Fixed: Reopening the bundle editor from menu now works.

  • Fixed: Removed unneeded request to reload after saving bundle items.

  • Fixed: Some caret issues when last line was wider than display.

  • Fixed: Some text rendering issues.

  • Fixed: Show project pane in menu is no longer mixed up with bundle pane.

  • Fixed: Close button in "Remote Profiles" dialog now works.
The latest release can be downloaded at:

woohoo, thx alexander!

nice bugfixes! keep it up.

still some rendering fixes to do =)
eg: look here: http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/6269/erenderingib8.gif
on line 3, 5 and 6 the W char is truncated. code in php looks weird. try courier new and see yourself.

and i wish you could adjust the font-antialiasing a bit. code in intype looks so damn sharp compared to e.

working with a texteditor means starring at text all the time. please try to sharp it =)

but anyway, thx for the bugfixes!

Thanks for the bugfixes!

But I am still having the same problem with the new bundle editor:

If I try to open the new bundle editor, the Project panel freezes and nothing happens (I waited). If I close it then and open again, it's empty. If I try to open a directory as a project, I have to close the panel and open it again in order that the project tree appears.

Thanks! This editor just keeps getting better. I already "spread the word" and converted 6 people to users. I seriously hope that you just ignore those Linux spammers. Just concentrate on one platform and keep up the great work!!!

Forget the not functional bundle editor, E has just started to crash randomly and very often with this release when browsing project tree in the Project panel or when opening files from it.. :<

Good work with the new features though Smile.

I found out that when I click the Show Bundle Editor item when Project panel is open, it stays open but the tick symbol at the Project panel item in the View menu disappears.

When close the Project panel first and then click the Show Bundle Editor item, it works.

This bug sucks, and Alex mentioned something about a bug in the TreeView controller on Vista x64. I've given up waiting for a fix for this bug, so I'm running e in a VM running XP 32-bit instead. You could revert to version 1.0.20, that's the lastest version that's stable on Vista x64.

Not the best testimony for a text editor if you need a vm to run it Sad

(Then again, a perfect solution for all these Linux guys Wink )

Maybe it is a good testimony too - since the editor is so awesome that I'm willing to go through the trouble with a VM to use it Wink

Thanks for the release!

Any chance case #152 will get resolved in an upcoming release? That would make my life a million times easier Smile

Thanks again!
