This is a bugfix release. I finally located a very nasty memory corruption bug that has been the source of a lot of crashes. It actually turned out to be a thread related bug in wxWidgets, and since the crashes always happened in totally unrelated parts of the code (when they used the corrupted memory), it was damn hard to pin down.

Many thanks to all of you who have been persistent in sending me crash reports. Hopefully e should now be a lot more stable.
  • Fixed a really nasty memory corruption bug that has been the source of a lot of crashes.

  • Fixed creation of shortcuts in bundle commands.

  • Fixed deletion of bundles via context menu.

  • Fixed crash when clicking on empty dir in ftp project.

  • Fixed webpreview crash.

  • Fixed correct restore of bundle pane state.

  • Fixed bundle env is now also set for CompletionCmds.
The latest release can be downloaded at:

I just did an SVN update and it didn't crash. Very Happy

I may cry tears of joy here. Will keep testing the software, but I used to be able to crash 'e' quite reliably simply by doing an SVN update, so I'd say we're doing better already!

Pah! Creepy stuff... I hate it when all you got is a number of unrelated, seemingly "one off" crashes.

Great job hunting it down!

Cheers.

I had that problem a few releases ago, but 1.0.27 fixed it. They way I worked around that was updating/installing/deleting one bundle at a time, and then exiting the bundle manager. A pain in the arse, I know Sad

Thanks for this update! It works great, and a lot of random weirdness and crashing (for example, when running commands that use the preview pane) is working properly now.

e just keeps getting better and better - can't wait to see what's next!
